So… I have a brand new blackberry bold (w00t!) and it provides me the opportunity to write constantly, as well as take decently high quality photos. This is good for whatever readership is out there because I can impart my snobbery upon the world at my whim… Suckers. The first victim, and I do mean victim, is the Rogue MoM hefeweizen (ale brewed with coriander and ginger).

Let us examine this ale piece by piece, starting with it’s name.
Rogue: I equate rogue with things that are of considerable quality such as shakespeare stout, their imperial ipa, and their barleywine. This should be a good thing. Alas, we were misled this time.
MoM: my mom is awesome, as are most moms. However, most mom’s who drink, drink shitty beer. Uh oh… See a theme?
Hefeweizen: generally crappy style of beer involving generous amounts of wheat. Not particularly interesting, ever.
Ale brewed with coriander and ginger: what’s that you say?! Hope?! Yes! There is hope! And soul crushing failure. I tasted neither of these delightful ingredients. In fact they were almost as prevalent as the taste of hops in a budweiser.

So what you get is a fizzy, hazy, golden beer with a bit of wheat and a lot of disappointment. Everything is textbook about this beer. There is none of the rogue flair that I’ve come to expect. Its not even high ac. It could use about 4000% more ginger. This beer is the rough equivalent of that sweater you got from grandma last year that you work once for her and then donated to goodwill. It’s ugly and sucks.

4/10
