So, I’ve really wanted to have some Ska Brewing beers since I applied there for an assistant brewmaster position some years ago. They are phenomenal people, with a really cool outlook on brewing, and should be supported. As for this beer, it is their imperial ipa offering and it just so happens to be my favorite style. This beer is a really well balanced iipa, and I’m proud to say I’ve had it. It is delicious. I don’t know the abv, but it is sweet enough to balance the hops, and strong enough to feel the booze. How does it stack up against the real heavyweights? Pretty well. It doesn’t have any real drawbacks. It might not be the best beer I’ve ever had, but it stands up nicely. 8.5/10
