The Boys is one of my favorite books, and pretty much inarguably my favorite not from one of the Big Two. Brian loves it too, but isn’t up to speed on it lately, which is a shame, because it takes everything you love about Garth Ennis – his gritty storytelling, his gross-out, shock humor – and puts it into a context thats a classic comic book scenario; what would the government and big industry be doing if super heroes were real – and how would they each try to keep them in line?

In short, its amazing. Give it a read. And thank Rich Johnston while you’re at it.
