Comic movies update

While I avoid writing an actual meaningful post (well, not necessarily meaningful if I’m going to review graphic novels that everyone else has already read), I bring more updates on comics that have or are being turned into films.

First, some new pictures from Frank Miller’s movie The Spirit. I’ve never actually read this, so I’m going to have to soon so I can decide if the Sin City/Sky Captain approach to filmmaking would actually suit the movie, but for those of you who have, what do you think?

Second, there’s a new Iron Man TV Spot. They’re doing a really good job of making me want to watch the movie even though you’d have to think that with all the promos they’ve had, they’d have almost given the entire movie away… Sadly, The Incredible Hulk has nowhere near as much buzz (and almost everything I’ve heard so far has been negative and talking about creative struggles between Ed Norton and everyone else involved in the movie). I’m just hoping that it doesn’t tank as badly as Ang Lee’s version.

And finally, there’s a rumor of a scene with the Joker pretending to be dead inside a body bag being cut on accounts of it being too soon.

Real (review of old material) post soon!
