Beers I need to try once Lent ends, again.
I find Lent to be a good time to test my will and resolve. This year I chose to do something tough again (last year I was a vegetarian), and gave up drinking soda and beer. In effect, all carbonated beverages. It has been a tough go without the diet coke or blue monster to keep me going, but I’m alive, and a better person for it I’d say. Anyway, I’m trying to come up with a list of beers to try after Lent. Here’s an updated list I’ve come up with so far:
- Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (I gave Jeff a bottle, he reviewed it here.)
- Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron (Jeff got us both 4-packs yesterday! He should have a review up soon)
- New Holland Night Tripper
- This years batch of Founders Devil Dancer
- Unibroue Quelquechose
- Mendocino Imperial IPA
- Lienenkugel Big Eddy Imperial Stout
- Erie Fallenbock
- Brooklyn Monster
- Boulder Obovoid
- Boulder Mojo Risin
- Unibroue 17
I’m still hunting for recommendations as well. I know they’re out there, lemme have ‘em.
Duke, if you’re reading this, you’d better bring me back a bottle of Dark Lord if you go. Or invite me to come. Seriously.
