Why have I not purchased every bottle of this? Not what you would expect from Goose Island. This stout is AMAZING! This beast feels like milk… not that skim crap… but whole milk. No carbonation to speak of, but what do you expect from a 13% ABV brew? Bourbon is appropriately the main note in the aroma but the flavor change is the amazing part. It tastes like caramel as is coats the mouth, then as it warms a rich chocolate emerges. The roastiness is blended well with the vanilla. The bourbon is a blessing and a curse, it’s a wonderful part of this ale but it does dominate the nose.

You should buy this immediately. Do not share.
